Gratitude 15January16 Status: Shared

I have often justified being on Facebook with the reasoning that it is a place to keep track of family and friends. I enjoy knowing what they are up to and seeing pictures. If I am not careful, I can find myself picking up my cell phone quite often to check on the happenings of the day. With that said, I don’t like to think of myself wasting that time I spend on the Facebook site.

Morgan Freeman blogSadly, the platform for Facebook is changing to something along the lines of Pinterest. People are now “sharing” pages they read, rather than posting personal messages and pictures. On my Facebook feed today, out of 24 alerts — 20 were just shared pages. It’s not that I don’t appreciate the poems, recipes, and holistic remedies. But it knocks my reasoning for being on Facebook all to hell and back.

Today I am thankful

  • A new book Spark Joy
  • My budget is done for the month
  • A good cup of tea

Rumor has it we are heading to below zero weather this weekend. Button up and stay safe and warm.

affectionately yours, Laura
