this past week i had the pleasure of an invite to a divine place called baptism river inn. it is a log cabin style inn tucked away in silver bay, minnesota. located roughly one-hundred miles from the canadian border, it gave the feeling of being on the end of the earth for a city gal like me. while there, i kept having the feeling that the world had indeed slowed down a few revolutions. the calm, peaceful silence and the fresh air was a dynamic duo that had me relaxed and content.
i had an amazing room, river room, that faced the baptism river. i couldn’t see it really well through the foliage, however, when on my balcony, i could hear it’s amazing rustic sound. the room was comfortable and designed in an eclectic old cabin feel. i say the eclectic because of the unique artwork and touches that were added. i slept like a baby on the amazing mattress and high-end linens. the highlight was the deep whirlpool bath. i looked like a californian raisin by my third day! it is rare to find that line of being treated like a guest, yet, still having the feel of being at home. i would go there again in a heartbeat.
today i am thankful for ..
- Wii age of 27
- philosophy almond and cream shower gel
- sunshine that is creating rainbows in my living space
- enjoying my cup of coffee

while it is wonderful to go on vacation, it is always better to come back home.
